Premier League top-four chasers West Ham United have been rebuffed in their quest to sign striker Valentin Castellanos from MLS football team New York City FC according to the report via Italian media portal TuttoMercato Web. It was stated that the Hammers made a €10m (£8.5m) bid for Castellanos and it was turned down by MLS football club New York City FC and that they have made another bid for the 23-year-old striker.
West Ham United manager David Moyes is keen to add a new striker to his squad this season to relieve the pressure on Jamaican international Michail Antonio ahead of what promises to be a busy second half of the season for the East London team. The Hammers are in a battle with four teams for two top-four spots in the league and they are still in two cup competitions. West Ham United are in the race for a Premier League top-four place with three London rivals namely Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in addition to Manchester United. American striker Jozy Altidore could leave MLS football side Toronto FC at the end of the 2021 season according to respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano. Ex-Hull City attacker Altidore could end his seven-year association with MLS football team Toronto FC by mutual termination.
Altidore, 32, has been at Toronto FC since 2015 and his exit would leave a Designated Player spot open for the MLS football club who missed out on the playoffs at the end of the regular season this year on the back of nearly winning the Supporters’ Shield last year. This is according to sources close to English publication 90min. American national team star Pepi is on the books of MLS football club FC Dallas. It was reported that Pepi has officially approached the FC Dallas front office to ask for a transfer away from the MLS football team.
Pepi has been in red-hot form in the MLS this season despite the fact that FC Dallas have been struggling in the Western Conference. A lot of people may not know about it, but former Bayern Munich player Franck Ribery is still in the business of playing football and has, as a matter of fact, recently signed for a new club in the Italian Serie A. Ribery was at Italian Serie A outfit Fiorentinaast season and was impressive to a large extent even though he did not get the chance to play in a lot of matches for the club. His contract with Fjorentina expired in the summer and he was released by the club, becoming a free agent in the process but he was not ready to quit football and started looking for another club to join since then.
