Portland Timber’s experiences it 5th successive winless game

Portland Timbers locked horns with Seattle Sounders on May 27 of 2017 in a match that resulted with Sounders claiming a 1-0 triumph and this was the 5th consecutive game which has seen Timbers not being able to secure a victory.

What makes this defeat against Seattle Sounders particularly difficult for Portland Timbers was the fact that the referee denied Timbers on a number of occasions a few penalty decisions which could have completely changed the final scoreboard.

Caleb Porter continued on saying that he is anxious and eager for the video technology to arrive as the 42 year old American manager said: “I can’t wait for VAR to come because all I want is fair calls. That’s it. If we have a bad call against us, I swallow it, no problem. I just want to make sure the calls get right.”

The 2017 MLS season kicked off in superb form for Portland Timbers as they went through a string of successive victories over Minnesota United, LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo but they have recently been dropping points on a consistent fashion mainly due to the lack of victories that the team of Caleb Porters has not been able to do.
