LA FC TO MEET WITH LA GALAXY

With the focus of attention returning to the California Stadium on Thursday, Los Angeles Football Club LAFC would be looking to continue their strong run at home. They are unbeaten in nine games but they cracked under pressure on Sunday against Minnesota United FC, losing 5-1.

Unlike them Los Angeles Galaxy are getting stronger in the second part of the season. They have not lost in their last seven games, and would be seeking to keep their record against their city rivals. LA Galaxy defeated Philadelphia Union 3-1 over the weekend so they are in a strong mental position to do damage. Galaxy won the last clash at the StubHub Center in a spectacular performance that saw them come back from 3-0 down.

Ola Kamara, former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Michael Ciani netted to give them their third straight win in Chester. They are two points behindthird placed Sporting Kansas City in the Western Conference.

Ibrahimovic has already promised that it would be “a new show” as they will prepare for the game which is away from their base. The three goalscorers over the weekend plus Premier League legend Ashley Cole, starmanGiovani dos Santos, Chris Pontius, Perry Kitchen, Jorgen Skjelvik, Dave Romney and goalkeeper David Bingham should provide enough fire power in the starting line to send shivers down the spine of their opponents. There is also RomainAlessandrini who has been phenomenal from the bench in the last three games, providing contribution to goals and goals six times.

LA Galaxy might not be able to replicate their 4-3 show from the last time but they would surely put up a fight against the expansion side. LAFC has stars in their lineup like World Cup star Carlos Vela, Benny Feilhaber, Walker Zimmerman, Latif Blessing and AdamaDiomande to make the contest worth seeing.
