The MLS secondary transfer window will end on Thursday and Atlanta United are in need of reinforcements to help turn their season around. The MLS football club needs one or more players to help resurrect their ailing season.

Brazilian forward Ferreira is the latest name linked with a move to Atlanta United and it was confirmed by journalist Garbado who stated that his transfer from his native Brazil to MLS football is in its final phase. The 23-year-old is expected to join the former MLS Cup winners before the present transfer window ends in the MLS and he could be the one to reignite the season for the club.

Atlanta United target Ferreira is a native of Dourados in Brazil and he signed for the academy at Gremio at the age of 17. During his time with the Brazilian club till date, he has been loaned to teams such as Toledo, Aimore, Sao Luiz, and Cianorte.

Ferreira is currently recovering from a knee injury picked up in the middle of last month but that has not stopped him from being linked with a transfer to MLS football.

A lot of players have been connected with Atlanta United as transfer targets in the current transfer window including Cagliari star Joao Pedro, Thiago Almada, Adam Ounas, and Ricardo Horta.

Italian Serie A outfit Cagliari have already rejected an Atlanta United bid for Pedro, while Portuguese team Sporting Braga have done likewise for Horta. For Napoli attacker Ounas, Atlanta United are waiting to hear from the Italians if they can do a deal for the player having made a bid to sign him. On Almada, the Argentine player is expected to wrap up his transfer to Atlanta United this week. It was reported in the media that the player will complete his transfer to the MLS football side after the Olympic Games with Argentina. Almada and Argentina crashed out of the football event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games last week.
